Asking for a repair

Sending a request is free and does not commit you to a repair. A local Unbreak shop contacts you with a quote, and the repair starts only when you agree to it.

The shop's written quote and receipt set the price, the work and the warranty of your repair. Each shop sets its own.

Your account

An account is optional. Keep your password private: you are responsible for what happens under your account. We can close an account that is used to abuse the site or other people.

Using the site

• Give true information, and a phone number you are allowed to use.
• Do not try to break, overload or scrape the site, and do not send requests that are not real.

SMS program terms

• Program name: Unbreak repair updates.
• What it is: text messages from the Unbreak network about a repair you asked for. They tell you that your request arrived, that a price or a time is waiting for your answer, that a technician is on the way or has arrived, how the repair is going, and that it is done, with a link to your receipt or tracking page.
• Who sends them: Unbreak Mobile Repair LLC, on behalf of the Unbreak shop that handles your repair. Each message names the network it comes from.
• How you join: tick the box for text messages on the repair request form, under your phone number. The box is never ticked for you.
• Frequency: about 2–8 messages per repair.
• Cost: Msg & data rates may apply. Unbreak does not charge for the messages; your mobile carrier may.
• Stop: reply STOP to any message. You get one message confirming it, and no more texts after that. You can still follow your repair by email and by your tracking link.
• Help: reply HELP to any message, or contact us as described below.
• Not a condition of buying: you do not have to agree to text messages to ask for or buy a repair. Without them, we use email and phone calls.
• Carriers: carriers and Unbreak are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your coverage.
• Privacy: how we handle your phone number is described in the privacy policy. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

The site as it is

The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot promise that it always will be.

Changes

When we change these terms, we change the date at the top of the page. Changes to the text-message program apply to a number only after it has agreed to them.
